This is beautiful and I downloaded it because I was curious about a new Disney short and then... well. I won't spoil it by saying anything more. (Also, after browsing around for links, this short film is the most adorable thing ever. I totally squeaked at the ending. Link snatched from here.)

It was Wilson's whole thing with feeling like he should get out the popcorn and watch the show without making him creepy/sleezy that just struck me as one of those things that he would do.

....I can't even retell it without it sounding weird, but it totally worked when you wrote it, I swear. ♥

Reading the Wiki entry on the story is utterly depressing in that great way, too.

But, man, there's something really devestating about Disney animation plus an intact Hans Christian Andersen story ending.
