1) So, on August 15 I went to the summer festival here dedicated to Virgin Mary-- I was wearing my yukata (everyone was shocked to see me dressed up like that and I couldn't escape some sarcastic comments, but at least nobody made fun of me and a guy selling crepes showered me with compliments about how awesome and pretty I was --

THAT MOVIE. BEFORE NIGHT FALLS. T____T I LOVE IT SO. Bring tissues to sop up your tears! Also, if you're in the mood for more gay Cuban movies you could watch Strawberry & Chocolate (Fresa Y Chocolate), which is a bit less harrowing but still extremely good. I recommend it!
