Nostalgy & Remakes--

Today I was looking around my old albums and I found some pretty old arts∼
It's almost 10 years old (I was 18, happily attending Art School... Aah, I liked my High School times, so much fun ;_;), but I still like these--
--At the time I was pretty fixated with angels, demons and decorative arts..Among the arts I even found my old notes about angelology and demonology *_* Aaah, those were good times! )

Those are spectacular pieces of art! And for something that you made well over ten years ago! *_*
At as a teen I was more into mythology (but back then I drew females more). X3

Thank you! Ahah, well, my "style" didn't change very much over the years XD
After the Art School I went to University, and there I stopped drawing to focus on writing (since I was studying to become a scriptwriter, LOL XD) and when I drew it was mostly anime-styled stuff (I mean... Big eyes and such-- I always had a sort of anime style, in fact my profs were pretty wary about it XD)... I think that I returned to improve my skills when I started to draw yaoi... It's a paradox, I know, but since I wanted to draw "manly" men I had to re-learn to draw a lot of things more realistically ^_^;
I drew lots of females too! Ahah, tomorrow I'll probably scan more old stuff to show you :D

lol! I think a lot of people who draw anime could be easily spotted out, even if they try to draw in a more realistic style it would still show through. XD I know my tutors and some fellow students would pick these out of my art. ^^;
Writing! I'm not the most strong in this area, but it would be nice to get into that area.
I think Yaoi had gotten me to draw male anatomy much better. XD; Though I still stick to the anime like look.

Anime style surely is some kind of curse XD
Yeah, the same about male anatomy :'D And I really like your style, it's so cute and fresh é_è

Hey, they are pretty good! Could we have them in bigger resolution? ^^

Also, it seems your style was very different back then, am I right?

--I thought about posting bigger pics, but the idea of having them lined up like this in the post made me change my mind XD

Actually my style didn't change very much over the years, mostly because for a long period I didn't draw at all, and when I did I just sketched stereotypical anime stuff... When I was younger I had a much mature style, in my opinion XD
There are obvious differences, though... In this period I was a lot into decorative styles like symbolism or Art Noveau, also if I always had that kida "stoic" style that always prevented me to go overly "flourish" with it... So, yeah, they're pretty "stiff" pics, but you can see a certain pattern with my most recent stuff.

[in a fake Montgomery Scott accent] You can always use them links and thumbnails, aye gallie? :D

I can't really tell because of this low resolution. XD Anyway, this decorative style looks really neat if you ask me, I totally wouldn't mind if you got back to it every now and then. :D

But it's too much work ;3;
Plus, I don't want emo goth people finding them on google and deciding to use them for their crappy MySpace layouts XD

Yep, I agree, I really like this style too :D
Probably tomorrow I'll post more (bigger XD) stuff, to show how my style changed over the years XD
