Madvillainy is a terrific album. It's a bit uneven, but Figaro, Shadows of Tomorrow and Strange Days are so brilliant.

Shadows of Tomorrow is one of relatively few songs I've listened to on single repeat for several hours, with its crazy, hypnotic litany and driving beat.

Also, Madvillainy inspired me to download about six Sun Ra albums back when I was listening to it in 2006! Not that I ever quite got to grips with all of those, but I found several songs I really liked.

I've only listened to one Sun Ra album, The Magic City. I found it to be interesting, although a bit hard to sink into. It was very improvvy.
