Never mind all this bitching. In answer to your discussion point, Tom, Death were, in their entirety, pretty much the definitive article of Death Metal.

Based on my limited knowledge of Death Metal anyway.

Yer not wrong there. Not entirely, anyroad. Personally, I'd put Nile right up there too, and possibly Necrophagia too, just off the top of my head.

As for Death, if you've not got 'em already, Symbolic and The Sound of Perseverance ought to be on your shopping list. If only for the superlative cover of "Painkiller" on Perseverance :)
