Toma's recent news in English Alphabets. We took Ikuta Toma's name and used each alphabet to spell an English Keyword. If you do not know a certain word, please use this chance to remember it!
Incentive
The most recent incentive that I gave myself was going to Hoobastank's concert. It was really sooo good that I got all fired up. Even when the people around realised it was me, I went, "hey~!" to them as though they were my old friends and we got high together. I went to X Japan's concert as well and it felt really good and lifted my spirits.
Knowledge
My co-actors in "Unubore Deka" know all the good restaurants and since I'm the type who doesn't really know about such restaurants, my information database has increased. I've always leave it to my friends to decide where to eat whenever we go out for meals together but I'll try to go to those resturants my co-actors recommended me. It'll be good if I managed to find a good restaurant and become a regular there!
Unique
This is about "Unubore Deka" again but my fellow male co-actors are all pretty unique. Recently all we've been talking about is dirty jokes. (laugh). Especially during the bar scenes where it's all males. At first, we would avoid talking about such stuffs when there's females around but recently, even when there's a female around, we wouldn't even try to hide the fact that we're talking about dirty jokes. It's like we're no longer restricted by anything. (laugh) The other day we got excited talking about the existence of aliens in the universe. That was fun!
Television
I like documentaries such as, "Jounetsu Tairiku", "A-Studio" or "Top Runner" that features people. When you watch such documentaries, I would have thoughts like, "So this person is looking at things from such an angle" or "This job is really tough". Recently, the person that intrigued me is Terajima Shinobu-san. Ever since we worked together in a movie, I thought she is an amazing person.
Artist
He may not be a person that you would call an artist but I've seen Shoufukutei Tsurube on TV and I really like him. I feel that he's always trying out new things and he's such a considerate person. He made me change my perspective or should I say, it's amazing how he accomodates to suit others.
Try
I want to try travelling alone. Any destination is fine but if i were to say a place off the top of my head, probably a resort overseas. I could relax with a book or go running. The most recent thing that I tried is probably golf. I went for a round of golf for the first time recently but the people I went with were really good at golf so I probably caused a lot of trouble for them. I have to practise more or else!
Offer
I was really happy to be given the offer to act in "Tale of Genji" by President Kadokawa. I thought, "it really came!" While I was in the filming of "Ningen Shikkaku", he said that he wants to film, "Tale of Genji" and I thought, "I hope one day I'll be able to get an offer to film that." But I honestly did not think that this would come true so fast. President Kadokawa said, "If Ikuta Toma is able to perform to this standard in Ningen Shikkaku, he should be able to take on the role (in Tale of Genji)." Due to his kind words, I feel that I have to cross that bar that he set.
Movie
The movie that I like is probably, "Hanamizuki". (laugh) If you have not seen it yet, please do watch it. EH? Another one? I like Back to the Future Part 2 & 3. It's a movie filled with dreams, isn't it? I've watched it quite a few times, over and over again.
Actor
I think what is attractive about actors is that we are able to experience many things through our roles, or should I say we can become different people. We can become idiots and even genius. I've been a inspector and a fisherman. (laugh) No matter what kind of role I'm acting, I want to do it with the thoughts that the people watching me will not get sick of my acting. This year, I've acted in 3 movies and a drama. It's about time for me to do a stageplay. There are things that I want to try doing. What kind of things, you ask? Well, many different things. (laugh)
