Pardner has pneumonia. I've seen him with bronchitis before, but I've never seen him this sick. It's very worry-provoking. I went out and got him a warm mist humidifier yesterday, which seems to help his cough so that he can sleep. Our special needs kitty with asthma has also been reaping the benefits, seeing as she is on full-time snuggle duty

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about Rick being sick! That bites. This erratic weather is really hard on the lungs and immune system.

I am SO JEALOUS of your ice cream maker! I have that on my list of "things I really really really really want to buy." I think it's super that you're doing it with natural sugars. fwiw, I think sorbets do really well with alternative sweeteners because they have so much fruit in them. Homemade strawberry sorbet with a little lemon juice thrown in to bring out the sweetness is just divine.
