Maybe it's because I came to the FMA fandom fairly late, after most details of backstory had already been revealed, but I like seeing what others thought might have happened - so I found 74 interesting instead of off-putting.

21 is my favorite here, though, because you're right - often they're viewed as a set, "Roy and Riza", or at most with Riza as almost only an adjunct to Roy, so a (real) disagreement between them is probably as upsetting to Roy's equilibrium as it is to the reader's. I also particularly loved the last paragraph of 82.
