The train station in New London faces out toward the Thames. That's the "Thames", pronounced phonetically, not the "Tems" of that other London. The shore is lined with little houses, bigger houses and a giant poured concrete power plant. i went to new york today via the new haven train station. and yeah. grand central may be more incredible/architectural masterpiece, but there's something about the new haven station....

It is so unexpected...in a city like New Haven, that we would have a beautiful, retro train stations...

And it's the windows that make the place, as well as those ball lights...the quality of light takes an otherwise simply wonderful places and makes it extraordinary.
