Jane is also walking in the woods, the day is quite beautiful and her thoughts have been complicated of late.

After her strange dream, she has not wanted to be inside as much and she has no idea if there is anyone who would understand.

So she is not aware yet that Tom is also walking in the woods.

It is the sound of snapping twigs that gets his attention, and soon enough, he notices the recognizable figure walking almost in parallel to him.

It is a most familiar situation.

"Miss Austen!" he calls out.

His voice startles her and it takes Jane a long moment to find where he is so she can manage a smile,

"Good day to you, Mister Lefroy."

He slowly makes his way towards her, his steps still slightly careful.

(So as to avoid the slosh and wet mud, as well as the aches in his muscles from his fight only a few days ago.)

"A good day, indeed," he responds. "Have you been well?"
