Hmm. I've cooked two roast dinners just for the two of us in the past few days. Why didn't you tell me it was absurd earlier on? No wonder my yorkshires didn't rise... they were too bust being absurd. Damn them! Still, that could explain why those two roasts were nowhere near my usual quality. When I was first married I had a reputation (a good one, I mean) for cooking roast dinners. It appears that I've lost the knack somewhere along the line. Life is really rubbing it in this year.

Needless to say I did NOT go out in Billericay on xmas eve. For pretty much the same reasons you cite. Thing is, it's not just ex-boyfriends for me but ex-friends and ex-social groups. And I don't desire to catch up with any of them. My best mate from school is home from Switzerland for Christmas and we're meeting up today in London. We have massively anti-social tendencies in common. ;)
