I don't know what it is with me because the reviews all kind of say it's a dark subject and stuff and tough to write but for me there's some silver lining of hope or something to it. I don't know why. I'm just dark and twisty or something.

And my favorite Alex line was the one re: overdose of bitch with her morning meds. ♥

I waited to read this till I could really sit and read in peace. So fantastic. Even the Izzie didn't ruin it for me ;-). And I totally like Mer in this, which is miracle of epic proportions.

But I really, really love Burke and Alex.

holy crap. that was perfect. and I have never even been a fan of Burke *ducks* , began reading for the chris/mer friendship that I love endlessly/ the fab 4 and boy. did u hit it out of the park. could picture everything- mer being super nurse out of guilt, alex.. being fucking awesome alex .. izzie popping the grape, lol seriously even such details. perfect. ;-)

Meredith glances at Cristina to make sure that she’s really sleeping (she’s pretended to be a couple of times) and then looks back at Izzie when she knows that she is, “I don’t think she ever stopped.”

... something about this in particular struck a cord.. a pro burke cord, perhaps hehe

It's good, I don't require anyone to be a fan of Burke. We all have our tastes and the less people that like them means the more Burke for me. ;)

I really liked all of this (even though it did star Preston Burke!), but I absolutely LOVED your Izzie! I don't remember you writing much Izzie, but she's perfect here!

And thank you! I haven't really ever written a whole lot of Izzie other than in the annoying Izzie capacity. It was a lot of fun to write this fic. But it was a total whim.

I also think it's probably one of the best things I've ever written and I typically hate everything I write.

The Burke/Cristina was really beautiful, but seriously-- what made it for me-- was the others. Wow. Just a really lovely piece on how their dysfunctional family handles tragedy. The voicing was perfect, the dialogue gorgeous. And your opening description was just really amazing. ^_^
