But seriously. The door, and Cristina leaving, and Alex trying but completely failing at being, you know, the good friend, and and and

Alex is like a little bit of before, mixed with the after.

I just really like that line for character reasons and ship reasons and fic reasons. Whatever. Don't judge me.

Also, Derek walking in at the worst moment ever made me laugh way harder than I should have, mostly because I could picture his stupid face. Oh, if only.
