Well... if anybody's still reading, here's a catch-up post on what's up in the life of me, since it's been over a month since my last post. (oops)

First, this actually pre-dates my last post by a month, but since I forgot to mention it here... I have a new cat! Fiddler rounds out the kitty crew at four, taking the spot as Izzy's playmate, which ( Read more... )

Pretty good. I'm on vacation in Victoria BC right now, but M couldn't come because of work. :-( The rest of the family is here, though. Halfway through already, though. Time flies while on vacation!

Victoria sounds like a much better choice for summer vacation than where I went... at least from a weather standpoint. I went to Mississippi... in July. It was about 8 million degrees outside while I was there. Of course, I went to see family, so it kinda had to be Mississippi. :-)

Enjoy the rest of your trip!

I'm still here on LJ, though not saying too much. Thanks for the update.

I read your EFRC posts (even if I don't comment), so I've seen you around. :-) Oh... mark Sept. 22 on your calendar. Not confirmed yet, but I may be getting Sooj and K for my birthday. (It's coincidental... that was the best day for her to swing through Indy again, but hey... Best Birthday Ever, right? :-)) More details as soon as I know for sure...

If all goes according to the current plan, we'll be heading east on a family trip sometime next weekend, passing thru the Indy area on our way. Maybe we could meet up somewhere for a meal/rest stop/exercise the kids break?

I'm going to be working IndyFurCon w/ the DI this weekend... it's at the Hilton on the north side of town. I have no idea what my schedule is yet, though. I'll be checking Facebook and email from the phone, so just keep me posted and if I get a break when y'all are coming through, we can definitely meet somewhere!

Ooh, I had meant to ask if the DI were actually going to be at iFC (the last I'd heard it was a maybe). It's good that there will be some people I know at the site.

Yep... I'm not sure who'll be there other than me and Steve Simmons. I haven't seen a duty roster yet. I'm not staying on-site, so I'll be trekking back and forth to my house to let the dogs out, but I should be at the con for a good chunk of all three days.

I'm still here too, spending more time on FB than LJ. I now use LJ for more lengthy and thoughtful posts.

Thanks for the update. I haven't seen you since the housefilk at the Suttons'.

My long post was based on looking back at my FB updates from the last couple of months to reconstruct what's been going on. :-) Definitely spending more time there (and Twitter) than here, at least for writing. I've still been reading here, and replying to other people's LJ's... just kept forgetting to update my own!

Thanks! He's an absolute sweetheart... the kind of kitty who just walks up into your lap and flops bonelessly upside-down into your arms. And how could I, being in a Celtic band, resist a kitty named Fiddler when I met him at the shelter, you know? Of course, with a dog named Drummer and a cat named Fiddler, I'm sensing a trend...

Nw you just need sentient tableware . .

And Oh! the row of silver dishes and the row of silver spoons!
For Sunday there's a special pair,
And these they polish up with care
On Saturday afternoons!

(oops, I forgot about the bovine trained to do the Fosbury Flop during lunar perigee!)
