I suppose Halbarad grew a bit less chatty as time went on?

I'm sure there was some degree of culture shock, when your previous companion's are all 2,000+ years old... I'm sure 'playful' was on a different level.

It must have been such a difficult transition fr them all, really. But this seems a good way to help things along.

I feel rather sorry for Halbarad, tasked to talk as much as possible!

I dare say he was introduced by his father with '...and he can talk for Anor!' which sealed the plan - make young Aragorn loosen up a bit! ~_^

Thanks! I had an inkling of a much darker sequence originally, but I when I thought of going back to their beginnings, this seemed to work. :-)
