I had never read a story before that showed us the lady whose brooch Tom found. Nicely done.

It took a little research to figure out who she might be, and I feel like there is more to the story there. I'm glad you like it. :)

I've added a tag for Goldberry!

These are both great drabbles. I particularly liked seeing something of the owner of the brooch Tom found.

I've used Goldberry before; I'll go back and find the drabble in question and tag it!

(Though I think the tag in question has been misspelt: it says "charachter" ?)

While on the subject of character tags, could I put in a plea for a) Bard the Bowman and b) Galion (Thranduil's butler)? I've used them both in the past and been unable to tag them...

ETA: and I've just remembered, Gloin doesn't have a character tag yet either! Thanks...

Thank you! You never know when the muse might want her to come back. :)

I'm glad you liked them. When I saw the Barrow-wight prompt, I kept thinking about the bit in Fellowship where Tom finds the brooch, and someone says he seemed to remember something sad about it, so that's where I went.

These are both... so brilliant, and so dark. The first line of the first one, and the last line of the last one, in particular, are real punches to the guts.

(And yes, it can be a bit disturbing when the Dark!Muse won't budge over, can't it?...)

I'm glad they had their intended effect. :) (and let me tell you, there had best be plenty of fluff and fun to wallow in for awhile :p )

Oh - good stuff, both. And the first one has a sort of happy ending...

Both of these are excellent - being in a dark mood today, I particularly favor the second one.
