That's a great gap filler.

Thanks, Shirebound! I've had such fun revisiting the attack at Sarn Ford from different angles.

I think there could indeed have been some or all of the surviving Rangers eventually finding their way to Bree after the attack on Sarn Ford. It makes sense, as it's the biggest settlement, and the Prancing Pony was "a resort for Rangers". Excellent drabble.

Glad you liked this, Cairistiona. Bree's size, and the fact that Rangers would stay there do make it a logical place to aim for, particularly if the goal is to find Aragorn and try to warn him about Nazgûl in the Shire. :-D

Ooh! What a neat notion! Great gapfiller.

I am sure he wants to do anything he can to alleviate Gandalf's possible anger!

Poor Barliman is trying his best to do his part; it's just that he's a busy fellow and memory is not his strong point. ;-)

Oooo *wibble* ...a wounded, delirious Ranger.

I've had such fun revisiting the attack at Sarn Ford from different angles.

They've made very interesting reading! :)

Oooo *wibble*

Ranger fans unite!

One ore prompt to go - unfortunately, right now, I can't see how I'd be able to bend it toward Sarn Ford again, but perhaps inspiration will strike when I'm not expecting it. :-)
