Thanks, Shirebound. I don't know how many prompts will be given in the "Light" category, but I will try to flesh out Earendil's character through them. I appreciate your kind words.

Oh thank you so very much. I feel that the story of Earendil usually paints him in a less than flattering light. I am taking these "light" prompts as an opportunity to explore his character a bir more. I appreciate your reviewing VERY much.

That's lovely - I'm writing a scene where they are mentioned, at the moment, and this seems so right to me.

Thanks Curious. So far the light prompts are working for these two and I hope I can continue to explore them throughout the series.

This is a really humane scene, if that makes sense (makes sense in my head at least). A lot of the time these characters are presented in this epic manner that overlooks their more personal struggles. I appreciate small but vital moments like this being recorded.

Well, they were still parents, and they went through a lot to meet and finally to marry. Earendil chose to be counted among the First Born because it was what Elwing wanted, not necessarily what he would have chosen. So to me that means that he loved her deeply. I can't imagine many mothers who wouldn't be torn in two between the responsibility of the Silmaril - the gem that was responsible for the death of her parents and what her grandparents gave their lives for also, or her own children who, hopefully, would survive if the gem was no longer available. They are two more tragic characters in Tolkien's universe.

Thank you so much. So far the prompts are working to allow me to explore these two. I'm pleased about that because they deserve some "me" time in the forefront and I think there is a lot of their story to tell. I appreciate your words, as always :-)
