Yeah, I've been enjoying this whole drabble business. It's interesting to be given certain structural limits. One of the reasons I decided to partake of this community was that I do tend to ramble on and on, and this would force me to try new methods and ideas.

*G* Nothing like a 100 word limit to concentrate the mind. You can't be sloppy, you have to find the right phrases. I find it's very a good discipline, as well as a good warm-up to get the old imagination going. ;)

Indeed! Saruman's backstory is something I've pondered at length, but I've never gotten so far as to write about him while he's in Middle Earth--and just doing this short series has prompted many ideas and insights.
