I was trying to think of something to say other than 'lovely!' but that's such a perfect word to sum up the imagery within the story and that last line.

Mmm, the smell of warm earth after rain - you describe that so vividly.

I'm reminded of our family holiday two summers ago when I watched my little children building sandcastles on the Normandy Landing beaches of June 1944, wondered if that were somehow disrespectful, and then thought "no, because surely that's what it was all for?" I'm glad Aragorn can keep that perspective.
