I found, like Clodia, I just wanted to drink in the beauty of the writing of this rather than try to analyse it and worry about whether I understood what it "meant". It's so lyrical and gentle, and I both smile and ache for Boromir.
I like the lyrical and dreamlike mood here, and I think ...fill the space between him and the world is somehow very telling. It feels he had departed and come back... and not only from Lothlorien.
I was thinking of Boromir as a returned warrior/soldier, feeling alienated and separated from the world and from himself. So the thought was that he sets out again to try to unite the two. And here he is back, and, as you say, not only from Lothlorien. (I seem to have two of these Wandering Boromir scenarios...) Thanks for reading and commenting!
