Definitely not what she had planned but at least Eldarion had plenty of reference for 'red'!

Thank you - our copy of The Hobbit has Smaug coiled up on a pile of treasure and it has been in my mind all week - it was just getting it together with Eldarion and Firiel...

That's the cover on my childhood copy of The Hobbit, which is falling apart! - First Small Person and I had to read my adult copy this summer...

You'll know exactly why the prompt made me think of Smaug.

At least he isn't telling a tale of 'rascals' and 'ruffians'! :)

Hee! I wonder who he'd include in those ones?

And if he did tell a story of "rascals" and "ruffians" he could certainly tell of his father and other Dunedain rangers in the Breelands, or Frodo Baggins in the Marish! Love this response to the prompt! Delightful!

Thank you. I would guess the stories he's been told so far might be carefully chosen and edited... although there is no telling how many things he might have overheard and not got quite right!

I think, just yet, he is a little young to be side-tracking her on purpose; it really is just enthusiasm. But give him a year or two...
