Oh dear, I fear I can identify with Lalia here!Sloth is the sin i most often commit.A very vivid glimpse of Lalia.

I've been indulging in it a lot myself lately--hope soon to have lost the reasons for it, though.

Thanks so, Linda.

This was a vivid glimpse into the Smials - what people thought of Lalia and what she herself was doing without actually having her there.

I am so glad you find it so. The folk of the Great Smials must have often found reason to talk bitterly of Lalia behind her back!

I agree - I think they did as well, especially if her behaviour in these drabbles is anything to go by!

It is cold, wet and windy here, still dark outside... I think my heart is will Lalia right now!

But I can certainly see Cook's point - and I like the slight hint of what might be to come in that last line.

We had a clearer day today after yesterday's rain and wind. And am glad you can appreciate Cook's point of view. I suspect Lalia wasn't the most pleasant Mistress to have worked under.

I see a simmering revolt here. Downtrodden Hobbits Unite!
Thanks for sharing :)

Oh, I agree. And, after all, there was the gossip regarding Pearl and the nurse after Lalia's fall down the steps....

Thanks so, Wormwood.

Interesting to see behind the scenes, and how much work Lalia makes for others. Thank you!

Yes, being the obese woman she was, I suspect that Lalia wasn't held in the highest of regard by others, who must have resented her growing inability and unwillingness to lend a hand to the work needed to see the place running well. Thanks so, Clodia.
