You have captured the almost infinite age, and sense of an edge of sadness for things long gone, of the elves so well in these drabbles.

The beginnings of a legend... I like that, and...

...a slew of teeth and poison claws snatching at their cloaks.

is a wonderfully evocative line.

Thank you! I'm glad you like this -- everything has to begin somewhere, after all, and one of the things that always attracts me to writing Elves is that they can see/have seen beginnings as well as endings. If that makes sense...

This is really evocative. I can so easily imagine the scene - sea-shadowy with the wind rippling waves through long grass. You have captured a feeling of terror and awe that gave birth to a legend, at the beginning of the world.
