There is something very satisfying about writing a vengeful Eowyn. She certainly did a thorough job of killing off the scoundrel...

Wow, what vivid imagery. The first line is just perfection - I could see and feel exactly what sort of "uneasy-calm-before-the-storm" twilight you meant.

That said, I confess I had to read the drabble two or three times, and remember the title and the character list, before I worked out what is actually happening - but that's just my tortoise brain...

I can see why this drabble could be confusing. When an event has to be compressed down to 100 words, it often leave things a little half said. So thank you for reading!
