I have a vision of both the sweet and the, if not quite bitter, then melancholy - and the thought that Boromir keeps some mead as a physical way to conjure memories is delicious.

as a physical way to conjure memories

Um, I don't think he'd have any problems with physical ways to conjure his memories at all. The mead might just help lubricate his memory somewhat. *slaps self*

Oh look, here's naked Theodred again! What a lovely man!

kortirion has it: both sweet and melancholy. A vivid depiction of nasty winter weather, too.

I've tried hot mead, but for winter weather, nothing beats hot whiskey. *yum* Thanks for reading and commenting!

Gorgeous and evocative, and so sensual--such a clear memory for Boromir, and a lovely one for those all-too-frequent lonely nights. May it not be the only night for them!

Lovely, as always, Ann!

Nope, not the "Last Night", just the last night! I only wanted slightly melancholic, not flat-out miserable. Maybe I should change my warning.

This one actually owes a lot to Ellen Kushner's "The Fall of the Kings":

They breathed in each other's scent. They stayed thus for some time, perfectly happy

and

glowingly happy from two days and a night of perfect love. Ah, those lovely boys, my OTP's.

I love your drabbles

Thank you! It's still my very favorite format.

Thank you! I loved all your merry mead-suffused drabbles! I wish I could have written them something happier.
