Ohhh, what a fascinating and rare glimpse at a hobbit we know so little about.

Thanks for the comment - Ye-es, I'm not sure where he came from... I don't normally do hobbits but he arrived fully formed! *g*

BTW, should 'clock' be 'cloak'?

LOL - you're right about that!! *doh*

But carrying around a big ol' clock could be quite interesting... time as weapon? Works for Dr Who! *G*

oh, this is really nice! I am very intrigued by Nob and think more people should write about him (I have written maybe ONE drabble in my life by his POV!) :)

A first for me as well - he arrived unannounced with a few words to say. ;p

Here on shirebound's rec. This is a great drabble - great use of dialect and I especially like the word "kerfuffle"! And his slight wistfulness that he might have gone, too...

Thanks for coming to read ...and wistfulness - well, you know Bree folk - that bit more wild than is quite respectable. ;)

Hi, here via shirebound. Love this peek into Nob's head. I like that he might have thought about going with them. Very nice.

Thank you! Nice of you to pop over - with all those comings and goings at the inn, it struck me it might at least have crossed his mind to travel - even if it was followed by a shake od the head 'nah, not for me!'

Interesting to see this scene from another perspective. If you were to ask me I think Nob was the one who ran the inn, Butterbur just took the money and smoozed the customers!

*g* - I dare say there's a degree of truth in that last thought!
