The last line is really interesting to me. It veers from my perception, but it definitely gives food for thought. That moment when he's finally free of the ring is nice. Great drabble.

It veers from my perception, Actually, it does from mine as well, but I only wrote what the Muse ordered. :) Sometimes it's a good thing to escape not only canon, but one's own personal fanon as well.

Re-reading it, I now realize that the last line echoes Frodo's thoughts and choice about the Ring upon Amon Hen when he was sitting in the Seat of Seeing.
