It would be rather impolite to end the sequence after that cliff-hanger, wouldn't it?.

I'll probably have enough internet access next week to pick up the prompt and start mulling over it. But I don't have the skills to write a drabble on my phone and upload it from there.

Oh, thank you so much for saying that!
This was a case where I went to the internet just to confirm what I thought I knew and was entirely intimidated.
Apparently, clam digging in some parts of the US has very strict rules, uses a special type of rake or hoe, and is almost ritual in character!
I myself grew up quite far inland so I never had much chance to try things out.
