Modly Post: Whither Tolkien_weekly?

Jul 23, 2015 23:29

Your friendly moderators have noticed that this community has gone very quiet in recent months. While we are happy to keep prompting, do you as readers and writers want us to bother when so few people seem to want to take part? This community has had a good run, but has the time come to bring it to an end?

I would miss it. I really appreciate those prompts.
I know a couple of people are still interested, just not managing to get anything written.
But that may not be enough--I know it's been very quiet.

I almost never write anything, but I love reading. Maybe it's just because it's summer and people are busier. I'd hate to see it go.

I don't post but I always read. I check this website every day for new updates. I would be really sad to see it close.

I must admit to having fallen a bit quiet in my drabbling recently - but I would miss the comm if it wasn't here any more - I promise I'll try harder! I do enjoy reading whatever anyone writes.

I do recognise why you are asking as I am the current mod of a weekly photo prompt community (photo_scavenger) and the responses there are also down.

But I would ask that you keep posting the prompts as long as you feel up to doing it - although I can see some of you must feel a bit down when not even your fellow mods write a response to your prompt.
