I had one at my elbow as I wrote - brandy, dry vermouth, and cherry brandy - quite tasty. but only perhaps one (or two!) glasses at a time.

Oh, this is too funny. Everyone needs to learn to step back from the mixed drinks at some point. It seems that Aragorn would have been wiser to step away this time :-)
