I went camping for 3 nights up at Clear Lake about 45 min from Ukiah (that's 3 and a half hours north from San Jose--where I obviously live). I think I ended up getting less exercise than I normally would being at home . . . even though I hiked more than the people who were with me (yeah). joseph once my dad took us to clear lake! i was like 13 and lame and all i wanted to do was update my sailormoon website, and i really really didn't want to go, but we did cuz my dad saw this ad in the newspaper that was like "come to clear lake so fun!!" so we drove for hours and when we got there it was like just a weird town! so we decided to just leave. and my dad was so depressed. we got home and he said "i thought that right now we'd be happy at a clear lake" and i felt sad and like an asshole for not wanting to go in the first place. i don't know why i'm commenting on this ancient fucking post in your lj that you don't post in anymore but this story is sad it makes me sad it is about everything that is wrong with the world
