A/N: The Domestic Bakaleya verse again; Satoshi and the others mainly get information of Tetsuya's university life in Hokkaido through facebook.

”Hey guys, look,” Satoshi exclaims and places his ipad in the middle of the table so that Shohei and Tatsuya can see better. On the screen there's Satoshi's facebook wall where they see Tetsuya's name; some of his university friends have added a bunch of new photos into which Tetsuya, too, is tagged.
“He seems to be doing well,” Shohei says happily and taps the screen to zoom into one of the pictures. There's a group of university students posing and smiling widely at the camera, Tetsuya standing in the back row.
“Are they all on the same class with him?” Tatsuya asks and frowns, “I wonder if they're being nice to him.”
“I don't think we need to worry about that,” Shohei chuckles as he swipes to the next picture where Tetsuya stands in the middle of a row of other boys, everyone's arms around each other's shoulders.
“Yeah,” Tatsuya agrees. Satoshi smiles and taps the “like” button under the picture.

Satoshi scrolls through the newest updates during his break at work, as always. Maya has updated his history themed learning diary blog and Satoshi reads the new post before logging into facebook.
Tetsuya's friends are very active at adding photos of their student life, he thinks amusedly when looking at his wall. It's a good thing - Tetsuya rarely updates his status and almost never adds any pictures so the other people's updates are the best way for Tetsuya's friends in Tokyo to get any information about his life. Sure, he gladly answers to every message he gets and sometimes mails them but that's hardly enough to satisfy their curiosity.
There are a few new photos added by people called Yamamoto Hiroki and Takasugi Nozomi; the people in the pictures are having a good time in some restaurant and Satoshi smiles when looking at them. The only one he really knows is Tetsuya but during the last months it's been those eight people in the most of the photos and Satoshi already knows their names and is able to connect every name to a right face, thanks to every picture being tagged well. Tetsuya seems to have found a group of good friends in Hokkaido and Satoshi is sincerely happy of that.
He's happy when he knows his friends are.

Satoshi tilts his head as he looks at the picture. Tetsuya sure has pretty friends in the university. But he doesn't quite understand what's so special in the scenery behind Tetsuya's back.

The whole picture is slightly underexposed but Satoshi has no problem to recognize his friend's features. 'Christmas lights,' says the title of the photo, added by Takasugi Nozomi. Sure, the lights are breathtakingly beautiful even in the picture, but what Satoshi pays the most attention is the way Tetsuya smiles at the camera.
“You seem to be happy there, huh?” Satoshi murmurs at the photo with a gentle chuckle. University life really seems to fit for Tetsuya. No wonder, as far as Satoshi remembers Tetsuya was the only one of them who ever made any notes at lessons during high school.
High shool, Satoshi thinks and leans his chin to rest on his hand, it seems to be so far away already, even though it hasn't even been a year after their graduation. Their group of friends is still as close-knit as ever and he sees everyone (except Tetsuya) many times a week. Now that they can't hang around in the school building anymore they often gather to sit and talk and eat together in the restaurant Satoshi works in.
The biggest difference to their former life, though, is the fact that not one of them has fought with anyone even once for months. Graduating high school makes miracles, it seems. It might also have something to do with the fact that now there's no-one who would want to declare a war against them just because they're wearing Makada's school uniforms.
“The best school,” Satoshi whispers to himself and grins.

“Say,” Satoshi says slowly, “do you guys think... Tetsuya has a girlfriend?”
“Eh?!” Tatsuya exclaims, “No way!”
“Why do you think so?” Yuuki asks, peeking over Satoshi's shoulder and Satoshi turns his ipad around to show the others. Tatsuya and Shohei almost knock their heads together when leaning closer to see, and after a while Tatsuya frowns in confusion.
On the screen there's a picture of eight people; the same eight whose faces Satoshi would probably know anywhere already with how many pictures he's seen of them. It seems to be the best cherry blossom season in Hokkaido, and all the girls are wearing bright colored yukatas.
“How does that look like having a girlfriend? I don't see anything very special in the picture. They're just posing together.”
“You don't understand, look!” Satoshi says and swipes through the latest dozen of the pictures in which Tetsuya has been tagged, “He always stands next to the same girl nowadays! The one called Takasugi Nozomi. And she always tags him in the pictures.”
“She tags everyone and their dog,” Yuuki points out and lightly taps the screen where the building behind them is also tagged, as well as the cherry blossoms and even the funny-shaped clouds on the sky.
“They are seeing the cherry blossoms together,” Satoshi tries, “and they sit on the same quilt!”
“We are sitting around the same table,” Yuuki says, “and we're not dating are we?”
“Wouldn't it be great if he had a girlfriend though,” Shohei says dreamily, “someone like my Minako.”
“And Aya, and Jun, and Mitsuko, and Chiaki?” Tatsuya lists under his breath and Yuuki snorts. Shohei's luck with girls is notoriously good and bad at the same time; it's not difficult for him to meet girls and get to know them, but somehow he always ends up dating the wrong ones. It's a good thing he's so self-confident, Satoshi thinks. Anyone else would already wonder what's wrong with them. Anyone but Shohei.
“But he can't have a girlfriend before I do!” Tatsuya wails with a jealous pout and Yuuki snorts again.
“I swear,” Satoshi murmurs as he puts the ipad away, “one day you'll see I was right.”

Three weeks later Satoshi barely has patience to change into his own clothes before he rushes out from the back room of the restaurant to the other side where the others are already waiting for him around their usual table, each one having a cup of coffee in front of them.
“So what has happened?” Tatsuya asks and they look at Satoshi who victoriously slams the ipad in the middle of the table.
“I told you,” he announces, “I told you!”
“Told us what?” Maya asks in confusion and looks at Yuuki and Makoto who shake their heads.
“It's better to be something good,” Shohei chuckles, “I skipped the dinner for this and my mother is going to kill me.”
“I told you they're dating!” Satoshi says and brushes the screen. “Look!”
Maya's eyes widen huge in surprise. Shohei and Makoto jump up on their feet with a shocked cry. Yuuki lets out a litany of incoherent English words. Tatsuya chokes on his coffee.
The picture is taken in a sunny park where Tetsuya and Nozomi pose to the camera side by side; Tetsuya's arm is wrapped tightly around her waist while she leans her head against his shoulder, both looking like they couldn't be happier.
“I can't believe he didn't immediately tell us! Tatsuya, you must call him! He won't get out of this so easily now,” Makoto says eagerly and Tatsuya blinks, still coughing weakly.
“What? Why me?”
“Because you are his fucking best friend,” Yuuki says clearly as if trying to explain a difficult word to a child.
“But it's embarrassing and I--”
“Already calling,” Maya says and pushes his own phone in Tatsuya's hands. For a few seconds everyone is quiet enough that they can actually hear the dialing noise before a small click.
“Hello? Um, hi. It's Tatsuya.”
“Put it on the speaker!” Shohei hisses. Tatsuya obeys and everyone calls their greetings to Tetsuya in a one sweet mess of voices.
“Huh? You're all there?” Tetsuya asks, amusement clear in his voice even through the line, “What's up?”
“What do you mean what's up,” Yuuki yells, “We want to know everything!”
“Everything about wh...oh.”
“Oh indeed,” Satoshi says smugly, “Just tell us the news already you sneaky little bastard!”
“Are you really dating that girl?” Shohei asks unceremoniously and all the others, Tetsuya included, are secretly thankful to him.
“Yeah.”
After the first awed seconds of silence everyone has a million questions to Tetsuya; about Nozomi and his life overall, and it's easy for Satoshi to imagine the embarrassed yet delighted smile on Tetsuya's face when he does his best to answer to all their questions.
“You need to come back to Tokyo during the summer holiday!” Makoto demands.
“And bring her along, too!” Shohei adds and the others loudly agree with him. In the end the call takes almost half an hour when all six of them take turns to tell about their own life to Tetsuya and after that they just chat about everything in the world.
Just like before.
