With a bouquet of flowers that he'd actually paid for himself (with the very last of the money he had hidden away in his room) in hand, he knocked on the door of Kin's apartment. He was bundled up thoroughly, complete with a scarf coming up to his nose, his mop of hair hidden away under a beanie. Most of the gang was waiting outside... He wanted to make sure Kin was all right before everyone went barging in.

"Coming!" She called to the door, the back fists she'd made with her hands rubbing at her eyes to dry the tears like a six year old. She was glad she didn't wear makeup, it would have been smudged everywhere. In here pocket was then stuffed the letter, picked up quickly off of the floor like a hawk taking down a piece of pray.
At the door, she swung it open. Kin had not been expecting to see Zaku. For some reason she hadn't thought he would come. "Zaku-" She was startled, her semi-blood shot eyes looking at him with shock. It was hard not to cry, and she did after she hugged him. More silent tears falling down her cheeks as she latched onto Zaku and the cold he'd brought in with him.

"It's okay. I'm here." He didn't know why he was saying those words... didn't know he'd given them permission to fall from his chapped lips.

"Thanks, jerk." She made a face at him, then smiled. "You're freezing. Don't tell me you went outside without your jacket, then put it on?." Her warm hands touched his face and she shook her head. "You're so lost without me." Kin kissed him quickly and then led him in further, over to the heater.
