Aww this is nice...
I have always wondered the exact ralationship between Hijikata and Okita (it isn't exploited in the anime at all). I thought it was something like this, but I lacked the insight.

The anime barely exploited any ralationship except for "with Chizuru". XD
The simple yet complex relationship among Okita, Hijikata, and Kondou is one of my favorite parts in Reimeiroku Okita Route.

Well, when, I saw "Okita" in the title, I was so excited, but he isn't there D:

Anyway, this is just confirming how I can't bear Hijikata >.<
I mean, doesn't he know what kind of person Souji is after being such a long time with him ? Argh, he pisses me off >.<
Well, it is still obvious that Hijikata cares about Souji, from the " he doesn't want to dump him to someonelse ".
But still, this kind of translations let me think that the relationship between Souji and Hijikata will never evolve I think.
However, Reimeroku translations makes me love Keisuke more and more ! Having the story from his point of view is really interesting ! Wanna play the game so much >.<

Hijikata is just doing what he think is good for his kid brother, while ignoring the kid's opinion. *sweatdrop*
Their relationship was never really fixed IMO. After Sannan takes over, Hijikata doesn't interfere anymore. And those two sort of dropped their differences.

Sannan-san is a very interesting character ne? I'm so glad he got exploited so much in Okita Route. (It's surprising too. I thought they'd use this route to develop Kondou.)
I love the way he speaks. Instead of pointing out Hijikata's mistakes, he said "I believe you're also aware of the consequences". So it doesn't sound like scolding (which leads to arguments), but still makes Hijikata think over this issue. Very cunning. ;)

Poor Hijikata... every move he takes to protect Souji..it pushes him more far away. I wonder what their relationship was like before all this.

IMO, Hijikata underestimating Souji's obsession over Kondou-san is the root of their problems.
Souji envies Hijikata and picks a fight (verbally) the first day Hijikata came to Shieikan. XD
