A datasheet for those who are confused by the many publications of Hakuoki series. :)
In short:
☆ All games are in full voice. Except for Chizuru, since she's supposed to be "you", she can't be voiced. She's voiced in Reimeiroku & Musouroku since she's no longer "you".
☆There are only 6 games: Hakuoki, Zuisoroku, Yuugiroku 1+2, Reimeiroku, and Musouroku. The exact same game kept getting ported to new consoles. Bonus features are added without changing what's already there. So the walkthrough works for every version.

Game #1 : The Main Story
Hakuoki: Shinsengumi Kitan【
The origin of this series. Ch1~3 is common route. Starting from Ch4 you'll enter one of these six routes: Hijikata, Okita, Saitou, Toudou, Harada, or Normal/Kazama when you don't get any of the first five.
Personal routes are parallel universes with different stories and different endings.2008/9/18

Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom
North America version localized by
Aksys Games.
It's subbed, i.e. the voice act remains original. The translation is very good. I'd give 9 out of 10.
It should be the same as Hakuoki Portable, but the picture scrolls (short novels) aren't there.2012/2/15
PSP
Game #2 : The Side Story (Fandisc)
Hakuoki: Zuisouroku【
A collection of short stories that take place at the same time of the main story. Although this game can function by itself (disc of original game isn't needed), it's better to play the original or watch the anime first to understand what's going on. Besides the main 6, there are also stories for Shinpachi, Yamazaki, Sannan, and Kondou. Unlockable features include SSL (Sweet School Life), aka Hakuoki Highschool.2009/8/27
PS2

Hakuoki: Junsouroku【
PS2 Hakuoki + PS2 Zuisouroku in 1 disc. Everything's the same except for these features:
1) Action animation system (AAS) that allows characters to make detailed movements, such as eyes blinking, mouth moving, and even breathing too!
2) Download contents (DLC) from PlayStation®Store. Such as artworks, novel, Picture Scroll of Comrades, and Event #3.2010/6/17
PS3
Game #3 : Mini Games
Hakuoki: Yuugiroku【
Short story that force you to play crappy mini games to reach the end. Each route can be done in 25 minutes, giving the whole game <3 hrs of playtime. For its ridiculously short playtime, cheaply-made mini game, and eye-popping high price, its reputation is pathetic. Doubtlessly daylight robbery.
The merits: cute chibi character, beautiful artworks of Kazuki Yune, and a sweet event when finishing all routes. But I still say don't buy unless it's 50% off.2010/5/13
PSP
Port of PSP Yuugiroku. Everything's the same except for these additional features:
1)
Karuta (Japanese traditional card game) with CGs as its cards.
2) Hakuoki Clock with voice messages.
Now this is more like a proper game.2011/4/28 Nintendo DS
Game #4 : Prequel
Hakuoki: Reimeiroku【
Link to my introduction pages. Reimeiroku is the alpha and omega beginning and ending of the whole story. Its main plot is the prologue to Hakuoki, while its epilogue takes place after Hakuoki. So be careful if you don't want to see spoiler of Hakuoki's endings. Unlike Zuisouroku, this is a stand-alone game, which can enjoyed with or without playing the others.2010/10/28 PS2
Hakuoki Reimeiroku Portable【
Port of Reimeiroku. Everything's the same except for these additional features:
1) Konatsu Biyori【小夏日和】:New events in Zuisouroku style, with 6 new CGs.

SekkarokuHakuoki: Shinsengumi Kitan【
(Season 2)
(OVA series)
1. Season 1 is a mixture of the first half of the first game and Zuisouroku.
2. Season 2 is Ch4~8 of Hijikata route, while adding original story so each character can have a chance to shine. Which is absolutely brilliant! Because if only following Hijikata route, all other characters would either be vaporized or degraded to plot devices.
3. There are 2 bonus OVAs for buying all DVDs of TV series. Each is a 10-minute side story plus a 3-minute SSL.
4. Sekkaroku is 6 episodes of short events that took place during season 1. Hijikata route all the way, only with more screentime for other characters.
The first 2 seasons are licensed by Sentai Filmworks in North America, released with English dub (and original voice).

New Project key visualHakuoki Movie
The movie, scheduled for 2013, will be a dilogie with brand new story written by the original producer Fujisawa.
← This key visual is for Sekkaroku #6, Reimeiroku, and movie altogether. So it doesn't hint anything about the movie.2013
Manga Adaptation
By Akatsuki Kaori, Shinohara Hana, RURU, and Kiri Mochi, Sylph magazine.
Manga adaptation of everyone's personal routes in the game.
Book 1: prologue, Hijikata, Okita, and Harada route.
Book 2: Saitou, Toudou, and Kazama route.
These are digests of personal routes. Not drawn in sequence, but jumps back and forth between events. Hence many readers complain it's hard to understand without playing the game.
