Chapter 15    Final Chapter

The two weeks before the eve of the Hey! Say! JUMP spring concert passed quickly as everyone delved into their work. Keito of course just watched most of the rehearsals, and reviewed the dance moves visually. Hikaru still ran from meeting to meeting making an occasional stop at the dressing room, and the rest of JUMP perfected every aspect they could.

But today was the day; Keito sat anxiously in the waiting room at the hospital with the rest of JUMP, even Hikaru who had gotten out of a meeting early so that he could be there. No one said anything as they waited for the doctor to summon the oldest Seven member. Glancing around to see the equally anxious faces of all the other members Keito could feel the tension in the room rise to an unbearable peak, “You guys…I’m not going to die…”

Yabu chuckled, trying to ease the atmosphere as well, “It sure seems like it… I even brought my pen and paper for the eulogy.” He glanced around nervously hoping for even just one more laugh from someone else.

Hikaru let out a sympathetic laugh, “This is like waiting for someone to have a baby or something.” He turned to Keito beside him and poked his stomach, “You’re not pregnant are you?” That got a rise out of everyone but Keito him self, who looked down blushing swatting Hikaru’s hand away.

“Of course not!”

Just as Hikaru was about to give another witty remark the door to the doctors office opened as the doctor him self emerged. “Ah! Keito-kun, you’re already here. Good, come in; this should only take a few minutes.” Nodding nervously Keito stood with the help of Hikaru and hobbled his way into the office. “Looks like you’ve been keeping off of your foot. He’s taken good care of you…” he said referring to Hikaru. Hikaru only smiled sheepishly.

Lowering Keito into the chair Hikaru rose to leave the room and turned to see all the other eight members of JUMP leaning around the doorframe watching curiously. The doctor looked to see why Hikaru was hesitating and laughed to see all of them pilled up like that, “Why don’t you all just come in…”

Not arguing all the eight members crowded into the small room and pushed at each other to see what was going on. “Yabu…I can’t see…” Chinen whined from his corner behind the tall boy. Looking behind him, Yabu chuckled to see the smaller boy’s pout and picked him up to place him in front.

“There…now hush.”

Seeing that everyone was situated the doctor proceeded with the check up, “Have you felt any pains in your ankle in the last few days?”

Keito shook his head, “No, only when I stand on it accidentally, and that was last week.”

Nodding the doctor marked something on his clipboard and set it down on his desk, “Alright, I need you to lift up your leg on the stool here…” Keito complied, “good, now,” he grabbed Keito’s foot and twirled it around a little, “does this hurt?” Keito shook his head, “how about this?” he asked as he pressed up on his foot.

“No,” Keito answered with more confidence.

“I see…” he twisted his foot a few more times and let go, “well, it seems as though you’re fully recovered!” A cheer was heard throughout the room. “But,” they all quieted down, “if you start having any pains at all I strongly recommend that you rest longer. If you put it under too much stress it could cause some major problems in the future. You might have to choose between dancing at one concert and dancing for the rest of you career. I hope you choose to sit out if you have to.”

With a nod Keito pulled his shoe back on, “So I can walk on it now?”

The doctor nodded, “Yes, but always remember what I said.”

“Thank you so much,” Keito smiled and stood up with ease. Everything felt normal so far. Walking towards the rest of the members Keito’s smile broadened as he felt no pain whatsoever as he walked, “It doesn’t hurt!”

Keito was suddenly bombarded with hugs and congratulations and shouts of excitement. Hikaru gazed happily at Keito as he too threw him self at the boy, “We dance together! We dance as JUMP!”

“Ten minuets everyone!” The coordinator shouted as all ten members of Hey! Say! JUMP and numerous juniors waited to make their big entrance.

An excited shiver ran through the group as Yabu took the lead near the entrance and bounced on the balls of his feet. “Get ready everyone! This is it!” Looking at Hikaru, Yabu pulled the younger boy next to him, “We have Hikaru to thank for this awesome concert tonight!”

Excited shouts rained down on a blushing Hikaru. “You all did a big part too! All your practicing and rehearsing…” he said sheepishly, “It wasn’t all me…”

But before long Yabu and Hikaru lost the attention of the excited young boys, and Yabu sighed with a happy smile on his face. “Ne…” He turned to Inoo, “do you feel that?”

Inoo nodded, “Yeah…I always get this feeling before a performance…but somehow, it tens of times stronger than ever before.”

Unable to hold in his excitement Yabu pulled Inoo in for a bear hug as he glanced over the surprised boy’s shoulder to see Hikaru doing the same with Keito.

“Keito! It’s finally here!”

Keito only nodded eagerly as he watched Hikaru’s smile grow. If only he could gaze at this smiling face forever….

Letting out a surprised yelp, Keito jumped at Hikaru’s sudden kiss. It was small and chaste, “just a good luck kiss…” Hikaru joked as he grabbed Keito’s hand and dragged him up to the front of all the bustling members. Turning back he pressed another harder, sweeter kiss to the younger boy’s lips, “I need all the luck I can get!”

Keito smiled and swatted his shoulder, “You just wanted to kiss me…” but leaned forward and pressed his lips against Hikaru’s anyway.

“Alright! Everyone, it’s time! Ten seconds…”

Yabu glanced at Inoo with a grin…

“Nine!”

Inoo gave Yabu’s hand a tight squeeze and returned the grin…

“Eight!”

Takaki adjusted his hair one last time…

“Seven!”

Daiki bounced from foot to foot unable to contain himself…

“Six!”

Yuto pressed his hand over his wildly beating heart, taking a deep breath…

“Five!”

Yamada mirrored the action and glanced over at Yuto with a nervous smile…

“Four!”

Chinen latched onto Ryutaro’s arm in an excited clamor…

“Three!”

Ryutaro thought about shaking him off, but let him stay when he saw the smaller boy’s big eyes…

“Two!”

Hikaru gazed down at Keito and grabbed his hand with a smile…

“One…”

Keito smiled back as he redirected his gaze at the opening doors before him and ran into the light holding tight to Hikaru’s hand…

“Go on guys…this is your show…”

Author’s Note: *cries* Oh my gosh! It’s over! But I’m so happy at the same time! I was originally going to write the whole concert and end it with their bow…but this seemed so much better!!! It has more closure for me… So that’s it, did you like it? I really had a lot of fun writing this for you all! Each and every chapter was so much fun…and all your comments really helped and motivated me! Thanks so much for all the love and support you guys gave me while writing this…I couldn’t have asked for better friends to share this with! But this isn’t the last you’ll see of me! I’ve got another multi-chapter planned that I want to release in the near future (like next week or so…XD) so watch for that!

Thanks again you guy! You’re amazing! Each and every one of you reading this right now! Keep it rocking! ♥3♥
