I have to apologize for this one...it was probably the most major, and the "meanest."

I've gone down from over 70 people to nearly 50.

I'm sorry to those I had been close to, or that I had any rapport with...but I had to downsize extremely to those: I know IRL, I've been good/close friends with for somewhere between 6-10 years, or something similar.

thanks for being honest and explaining it. i'm sad to see you go, since you seemed cool and i was hoping we might get to be pretty good friends; but i can understand and respect your reasons.

i would like to point out, however, that friends filters are a very useful tool for when you don't have time to read your entire f'list, but you don't want to outright unfriend people. i hope you won't take that the wrong way. you're free to do whatever you want, and i'm not saying you're a jerk for cutting instead of using a filter... it's just something to think about.

have a good rest of your life, and hopefully we'll still talk sometime. good luck with all the rl stuff!

No, I understand the spirit in which the suggestion was offered. I had considered such an option, but I find I never seem to get back to the other friends to catch up or the like. :/
