SM Entertainment posted an operating profit of 3.8 billion won (3,836,522,000 won to be exact) or equivalent to US$3.07 million) for the first half of 2009.
The financil details covering the period January 1 to June 30, 2009 were filed by SM Entertainment on August 14 via electronic disclosure system.
According to the report, SM Entertainment earned 29.89 billion won (29,893,329,000 won to be exact) in revenues from CD sales, royalties, performances, TV appearances and CFs of its stars for the first half of 2009.
Net income of the company for the first half of 2009 totaled 3,12 billion won (3,122,524,000 won to be exact) or equivalent to US$2.52 million.
The company is now mired in a dispute after its prized pop group, DBSK, filed an injunction against the company last July 31 to suspend the group’s contract, which they said was disadvantageous.
