Dear Joey's:
On Friday afternoon I purchased one of your Half Moon cookies. I was promised "Luv In Every Bite". However, by the time I had finished the cookie I realized this was not so. In fact I can recall two, even three, bites distinctly lacking Luv. This is false advertising and I want my money back.
Sincerely,
(

Ah so what are the social theories governing when one changed their views to be in tune with their significand other, and for your resistance to HP?
I'm just curious :P

The theory that relates to my Harry Potter-repellance is that of cognitive dissonance which has two major tenets: 1. "If a person is pressured to say or do something contrary to his her privately held attitudes, there will be a tendency for him or her to change those attitudes." and 2. "The greater the pressure to comply, the less this attitude change. Ultimately, attitude change generally occurs when the behavior is induced with minimal pressure." (both from the Psych GRE book, p.23)
