A while back, I ordered some of these as part of an ongoing attempt to hang a series of tablets in my hall without frames (don't ask about The Great Corkboard Fiasco of Summer 2011), and ever since, I've been getting their product catalogs. I just spent a happy fifteen min with that catalog and I'm not a woodworker or a gardener. Half the stuff I just wish I had a use for. And that souwester hat - I had one, or rather, there was a family one, when I was a teen and really wish I had one again. Nice to know they're still out there.

It is! I used to feel that way about the Vermont Country Store catalogs as well, though I haven't seen one in years; they're also full of things I'm glad to know are still being made. :)

Gah, they come here every week. And I do buy stuff from them, happily. Sometimes things from my past - my brother found me Oh! de London there. And just recently I spent 40 smackers on a metal safety razor like me old da used, because the cheap Venus shaver with the five dollar blades was getting on my nerrves. Guess what? I can use the old fashioned shaver with the dollar blades just as well and don't cut myself. So I feel smart.
