Costa Real is a city by the sea. Population hovering right near one hundred thousand, it has a bustling tourist economy but a home town feel. Mostly conservative, considering its more well to do residents, much of the town is still made of immigrant families. Because of it's moderate beach weather, many consider this an ideal vacation spot, thus it has become a rising attraction to those who want somewhere to get away for a weekend. The schools in Costa Real are considered top notch for public schools, often times winning awards, students ranking very high in AP scores. There is also a very high graduation rate.
The Pier
The main attraction of Costa Real, it's no wonder why. Literally an amusement park on the sea, with rides, restaurants, shops, and not to mention the natural beauty of the ocean. Considered the best place in town to idle away your summer afternoons.
THE ATTRACTIONS
You want rides, bro. We got rides. All the rides. The pier features the following:
SHOPS
Various shops, restaurants, and specialty stores are scattered throughout the pier. The sweets shops Salt Water Taffy is especially reccommended by the locals. The most highly reccommended restaurant of course specializes in sea food, though locally grown fruits and veggies are often found served on the menu.
THE WALK
The main walk itself is considered a sight all it's own. A chance to walk out on top of the ocean and get a view of the sea that no many ever get to experience. You'll find various fishermen, artists, musicians... generally all types of people congregating her and just enjoying the sea.
The Cats
These cats are the ones Nike adopted after the monster incident. Akgito found them and she's taken them on. They all live on the fairgrounds and Nike makes sure to feed them everyday. If you are especially friendly with Nike, these kitties will approach you without hesitation. :3
Yoshie
A little shy, but quick to warm up to strangers. Yoshie is the smallest of Nike's cat troupe. However she's completely adventurous. She's the most likely to get herself into trouble.
Shinji
Loud and protective, Shinji is always the first one to start yelling for food. He's also the first to beg for pets. Give him attention or you will suffer.
Marc
Lazy and forever sleepy. Marc is the sweetest and will usually come to anyone who's a bit down. Just don't bother him too much while he's sleeping.
