1. I stutter. And I pick my nails / fingers when someone is speaking to me, a habit that came about to avoid my father's gaze at the dinner table.
2. Popularity, I suppose, didn't matter when I was a very young child and we all played together. As we got older, I sensed that the other boys merely tolerated me & my stupidity because Melchior did.
3. When I took my finals to see if I would advance to the upper grade.
4. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, but I think it was because I was with the right person. It still scares the daylights out of me, however.

1. Trying. Papa and Mama worked tirelessly to make sure that I would be successful in the future, and since I was their only child, they focused all their attention on me. It left me very little room to mess up.

3. I'm not sure that I respect any one person a great deal.
4. I would smoke or drink a little, on occasions, mostly to relieve stress.
5. I used to believe, but in light of recent events I'm not terribly sure that God exists. I'll have to ponder it further.
