so living in japan is really like riding a subway train outdoors under a rainbow beside a mountain passing by various vending machines, school girls and pachinko slot arcades?

I have never been but I would agree with all of that from what I've heard from you, but I believe you are missing an important item from that scene that I demand you include in your next revision....BEER, unless of course it is what's being sold in the vending machine.

This is a good point and fear not! I had considered the lack of beer in this piece but alas, while I have many, many pictures of people drinking the stuff I have none of good enough resolution to make the giant can looming beyond Mt. Fuji. Methinks sometime today I will need to venture to the Convenience Store.

Also, please send me the Steigel picture that you had doctored, that was a good one. The new coldplay album reminds me of that.
