I've seen and read things on string theory, and think it's interesting enough, but there seems to be much debate over whether or not it's even a theory. I'm not science-minded enough to figure this out for myself, but reading about it is still interesting. Even after reading The Elegant Universe and like-minded things, I still can't say I know much of anything about it.
Yeah, string theory hasn't yet made any falsifiable predictions, which makes it impossible to disprove via experiment. I've been bumping around the various wikipedia articles on it at work, and I hope to actually put forth an effort to get more involved in reading journals that have to do with that sort of thing.
Yeah, it's pretty intriguing stuff. I dug deep enough to hit some old Bertrand Russel journals that were filled with nothing but (what is to me) nonsensical jargon and other maths that'll make your head spin.

also my old username was strange-idols, which is how everyone in sound-rationale knows me (I've tried to keep that transition on the DL and only talk about it in friends-locked posts so that my mom doesn't track me down to this LJ) and we've talked a little on uberdionysus about guys that are assholes. you talked about a roommate of yours that was always convinced that he was in love, and seemed like it was for real, I think I told you about my douchey ex, you mentioned a roommate who was constantly falling in love and always seemed to believe it. anyway, I think you're cool, so I added you in case you have awesome secret journal entries.

Hey cool what's up. Interestingly enough, I talked to that dude the other day and he seems to have finally admitted that he's only in it for the tits.
Unfortunately, I don't have any really cool secret journal entries. As a matter of fact, I've barely been participating on the internet at all recently, other than to absolutely fill my computer with music. I will, however, gladly read your awesome secret journal entries every time I actually remember to check my friends page.
