Cute review but he categorically does not say anything about "stroking a clit" - think your ears may have been deceiving you there. The whole cat sequence is just a Carol Channing impersonation.

Also when he rolls his hips and directs them to the cabaret tables it's not a reference to the fans or the regulars - the line is "This one's for the fleet" - as in the Navy.

Lots of people get very excited about the croissant scene but he plays it identically to how Roger Allam played it and he's a good deal more restrained than Graham Norton was. Not very naughty at all in fact.

I don't tend to focus much on the semi-nudity or otherwise of the cast but I'm glad you had a good time and that you were able to give him your canvas.

I've seen the show twice now and John was alot more naughty with the croisant and the cat than he was when i went the first week of the run.

But he's still only in keeping with what actors in the role have done previously. I don't think anyone necessarily does John any favours by suggesting that he's being outrageously sexual in that one sequence when in actual fact he's not taking it anywhere near as far as others in the role have done.

I don't have anyone to compair the performance to. I am only saying that He was seemingly more naughty the second time i saw him as compaired to his prievious performance.

I'm not saying that the others didnt do it the same way i'm merely stating that i thought it was rather naughty and was more so that the original show i'd seen back in september, and several people i spoke to while there also thought so too.

Some people have WAYYY too much time on their hands criticising your review (natch), so try not to pay any attention. I'm glad you had a great time and GOD, why couldn't the professionals get a shot of Simon & John kissing, that's the money shot. LOL. But you're way braver than I am to give him your artwork, for sure, you lucky, lucky gal.

thanks :)

I know what you mean about that shot i'd have loved a pic of that.

Believe me i was so nervous giving john the portrait of Scott. I'm glad he liked it though as id not been sleeping a few weeks ago worrying that he wouldnt know it was Scott ect.

You're welcome. :]

You and me both. Man, the chills I get from imagining it.

I bet! But I bet you that it's hanging in his office right now. I could bet you money on it.

yeah :) i get all warm and fuzzy thinking of the kiss and also the babydoll outfit which is my favourite of them all.

I'd hope he liked it enough to hang it. The fact that he asked me to personally sign it for him on the day was enough to say he liked it. lol

John Barrowman asked for my autograph

Thanks for sharing! I went Saturday afternoon and absolutely loved it! Though, the icing on the cake was seeing John at the stage door afterwards! *biggrin*

ps. I think the one with the cat is a great picture of him ;)

the pic with the cat is my favourite picture and outfit from the whole show. I really want to try and get that signed.

I love John in the babydoll and that whole scene is brilliant.

I was also there Saturday afternoon. I noticed he seemed to be breaking up and almost breaking character when he was kneeling or crouching to flirt with the guy at the last table stage left. Is that part of the show or was he really breaking up, do you know?

i dont know for sure, havent noticed that myself.

then again once John is in that babydoll outfit i tend to be a little distracted. so it could be all part of the performance but i dont know sorry
