Othello

You may recall that a few months back I bought season tickets to the Shakespeare Theatre. Weeeeeellll, today I saw the first one. Othello! Oh my God, it was soooooooooooo good.

I was so excited to see Avery Brooks play that part (and he was good), but the actor who really blew me away was Patrick Page , who played Iago. He made Shakespeare's ( Read more... )

Oh thats right. I know you have been looking forward to this for months and months. I'm so glad you enjoy it. There is nothing like a bit of culture and entertainment to clear the mind.

It wasn't quite as distracting as I'd hoped it would be. As much as I enjoyed it, my mind did wander to more unpleasant things. Ah well.

Hey Mia,

I have always been a big Shakespeare fan. I first read Othello in college and loved it.

Oddly enough, I just watched a movie recently called Stage Beauty which was set in the days when Shakespeare was performed and the one they kept showing was Othello. heh
