What's more awesome is that the lyrics have been rewritten...I'm at work right now so I can't remember exactly what it was, but it had something to do with Edo firefighters and lake Biwa.

These just popped into my head:

"We Didn't Start the Fire" for the single mother story
"Come Sail Away" for the students
"Final Fantasy Victory Theme" for the traffic accident

You know, I had that exact same experience watching a Japanese variety show the other night! We were watching Mago Mago Arashi, a variety show where band members from Arashi go and fill in for grandchildren, and help ojii-sans and obaa-sans out around their house etc.

And for some reason, they had the Kingdom Hearts Destiny Island theme playing in the background, and then the mini-game theme from the 100 acre wood! It was so strange, hearing it all of a sudden like that!

And for my three news pics:

Is it really bad that the first thing that came to mind was Fantine's uber depressing song to Cosette from Les Miserables?

Another Brick in the Wall by Pink Floyd
"We don't need no education...hey, teacher! Leave those kids alone!"
