As i just rewatched Firefly for the umpteenth time (my dad and my younger brother both loved it! YAAAAY), i felt it was time for a picspam. Because it is my favorite show. And i think that's a pretty okay reason. I was going to include caps from the mooovie as well, but, as it turns out, that thing is kind of EXCESSIVELY PRETTY. Who woulda thought

The pilot episode didn't really inspire me (I hear that's common?), but holy moses, these caps are gorgeous. I am really considering getting it on DVD, but I dunno if I'm willing to take the gamble. :/ But since another of my rapidly dying fandoms is about to RIP OUT MY HEART AND STAMP ON IT, I may give in and just buy it.

Yes, that's common, depending on which "pilot" episode you watched. The episode that Fox aired as the pilot was "The Train Job", which was not originally intended to be the pilot (and doesn't really work as an intro to the show). The ACTUAL series opener is "Serenity", a two-parter.

In my opinion the dvd set is well worth it, but it's always possible to download if you're not sure. :) It really hits its stride at episode 8, and then of course the movie is all sorts of gorgeous awesomeness.
