Lorelai and Rory don't need the same taste in men. Luke is a substitute Rory for Lorelai. He keeps her tethered to the ground because she is a fun kind of crazy. Rory needs to be Luke for the guy she ends up with. Rory is stable so she can keep her man tethered to the ground. Marty is sweet, cute, and adorable but so was Dean at one time. They didn't work out.

And i wasn't saying that they do. Lorelai was already worried about Rory making the same mistakes as her way back in s1. I was only thinking of the superficial character similarities. Upper-class vs. lower-class, the steady guy vs. the party boy. I honestly don't believe that Rory will actually hook up with Marty.

Dude, you should make SAT questions! If only they had that on Standardized Testing...shit, I'd get a perfect.

That 75 bucks a person was ridiculous. Whenever i go out to eat with people, everyone just pays for their own thing. Television is simply not believable!

Man, I spent this entire episode being spectactularly pissed off at Rory, and yelling at my tv screen, "MARTY OMG YOU COULD DO SO MUCH BETTER! LIKE ME! COME BE MY NAKED GUY!"
